Non-target umbrella and excess umbrella rate change for all states other than
CA, FL, GA, LA, MA & NY.
Effective date for new business is 9/1/2024 and renewal effective date is
10/15/2024. The average overall impact is 30% for each state.
These changes include how driver charges are applied and remapping of territory
assignments. More specifically, the base rates have been lowered but each driver
will now have premium charged, where clean drivers aged 25-74 were not being
charged previously. This means that risks with large numbers of drivers aged
24-74 will see more disruption that risks which had fewer or no drivers aged
25-74.
